Max Suter

I have always considered myself to be an open-minded person. I am constantly drawn in by new and unfamiliar ideas. I strive to look at any issue from many different perspectives and keep the big picture in mind. In todays fast moving information environment it is crucial to keep an open mind while accurately picking out and focusing on what is relevant. This is especially important in the context of complex problems like climate change and sustainability.

 

Mastering these challenges will be humanity’s biggest task in the 21 st century. Doing so will require new innovative approaches more than anything. I personally want to contribute to this with my unique skill set. My passion to analyze and dissect problems from different angles lends itself to coming up with novel solutions.

 

The Swiss Sustainability Initiative is a platform to publicize and exchange these ideas. My studies in international relations have provided me with a good understanding of economics and world governance,
both of which are central to the aim of getting to net-zero. I am now looking forward to applying this knowledge to real world issues.
